Sam has extensive hands on mechanical experience (+15 years) on a wide range of rotating equipment ranging from aeronautical (gas turbine engines) where he worked as an apprentice, all the way to 850mW supercritical steam turbines. He was part of the team that successfully installed and commissioned some of the largest gas turbines on the market – the GE 9HA – and has personally lead major repairs requiring large scale site machining and civil works for several steam turbines and generators in very difficult conditions including Pakistan, Turkmenistan and the Philippines. Sam has worked for Alstom Power services in the United Kingdom and Switzerland where he gained most of the experience in the power generation industry but is also knowledgable with other European, American, Japanese and Chinese Turbine/Generator OEM’s. He has worked globally across South East and South Asia, Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eurasia and prides himself on being able to work well and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
